Each year the Finnish Soloists’ Association (SolY) organises its own concert series and hosts many other concert events. The Association serves as a unique bond between its members and seeks to protect and support the artistic, professional and economic interests of performing artists. In addition the Association promotes the creation and performance of art music across Finland and works in close collaboration with soloists’ associations throughout the Nordic countries.
The annual concert series of the Finnish Soloists’ Association is held in Helsinki during October-November every year. Applications for the autumn concert series are submitted in spring (usually April) of the previous year. You can explore our previous concert programmes from these webpages. Members are informed about the application period via email.

In spring we give one guest concert as part of the concert series at the Sibelius Museum in Turku.
In autumn we give one concert as part of the Klang concert series at the Helsinki Music Centre. The Soloists’ Association organises concerts in other parts of Finland ("Regional concerts"). We also have our own Outreach Programme for taking classical music to new places and to people who rarely hear it. All these concerts can be applied through our annual application period in spring. The Finnish Soloists’ Association is always keen to learn of new collaborative possibilities with other concert organizers. If you have a concert proposal, do not hesitate to contact us! In addition to our own concerts and events, the Association seeks actively to promote and support its members’ individual concert activity.
As a member of the Association, you have the opportunity to apply for funding to support your own projects. Funding applications should be sent no later than two months prior to the commencement of the project itself. You can apply funding for instance for travel and / or publicity expenses. The maximum amount of this funding is approximately 450 €/member. Applying is continuous but it is recommended to apply especially during the concert application in spring. This funding can be given to the same member no more than once a year. For posters, flyers and programme booklets, the Association has its own graphic design and visual format, which Association members are at liberty to use in their own concerts. If you are interested, please contact our producer (see Contact Details). |

In producing recordings, radio broadcasts and live streams for the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle), members of the Finnish Soloists’ Association are entitled to YLE’s standard soloist rate, as these apply to the Association as a whole. |
